A modern multifunctional event venue has been established at Vilnius College (VIKO), designed to host conferences, creative projects, concerts, discussions, and a wide range of academic, public, and corporate events.

SONUS designed and integrated the venue’s acoustics, audio, lighting, stage infrastructure, audience seating, and drapery systems. The hall features a Meyer Sound audio system, delivering exceptional sound quality and even coverage throughout the space. Audio control is provided by a DiGiCo digital mixing platform, enabling efficient operation for both speech-based events and live music performances.

The stage lighting system consists of Prolights fixtures and MA Lighting control infrastructure, providing the flexibility to create a wide variety of lighting scenes and adapt quickly to different event formats. The stage technology infrastructure is complemented by Mikor and Unirig solutions, ensuring safe and flexible installation and operation of stage equipment. The venue also features ShowTex stage curtains and textile solutions, contributing to the functionality, aesthetics, and acoustic performance of the space.

One of the hall’s standout features is its automatically operated telescopic seating system, allowing the audience layout to be reconfigured according to the specific requirements of each event. The integrated seating system enables fast and safe transformation of the venue, making it suitable for both traditional seated events and events that require an open, unobstructed floor space.

The combination of these technologies allows the venue to serve both educational purposes and professional events. Today, the Vilnius College event hall is one of the most advanced venues of its kind within Lithuania’s education sector.

Kalvarija Cultural Centre is an important venue for the town’s cultural and community life, combining upgraded infrastructure with contemporary technical solutions and spaces adapted for a wide range of events. While the building retains a modest and restrained architectural character from the outside, parts of the interior have undergone significant renovation, creating an aesthetic and functional environment for cultural and community activities.

The most substantial transformation took place in the main event hall — a spacious multifunctional venue designed for concerts, performances and various community events. During the renovation process, particular attention was given not only to the visual appearance of the space, but also to the functionality, flexibility and durability of the stage infrastructure.

Within this project, the SONUS team implemented stage lighting and stage mechanisation solutions. Alongside lighting devices, the scope included installation of support structures for stage curtains, scenery and lighting equipment, allowing the stage to be flexibly adapted to different event scenarios while ensuring reliable long-term operation.

Kėdainiai Šviesioji Gymnasium stands out not only for its thoughtfully designed contemporary spaces, but also for the architectural dialogue between the historic part of the building and the modern extension. Together, they create a cohesive environment that combines architectural heritage with contemporary educational spaces for students and teachers.

One of the key spaces within the new extension is the concert hall — a venue whose scale, layout and technological level are closer to that of a professional concert hall. Featuring both a stalls area and a balcony, as well as infrastructure adapted for stage productions, the hall is suitable for events ranging from school performances to more advanced scenic productions.

Within this project, the SONUS team implemented lighting and audio solutions designed to ensure reliable, functional and versatile operation of the space. The integrated technologies allow the hall to be efficiently adapted for both everyday school activities and larger cultural or community events.

LMTA – Stage Technologies for the Faculty of Theatre and Dance and the National Film School

SONUS delivered one of its largest and most technologically complex projects by installing the complete stage technology infrastructure for the new campus of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) — specifically in the Faculty of Theatre and Dance and the National Film School. The project covered the technological integration of up to 20 different spaces designed for theatre, music, dance, and interdisciplinary arts.

Our team implemented professional sound systems, lighting systems, stage control consoles, network infrastructure, and other modern theatre technology solutions that allow students to work in real, industry-standard stage environments. All systems were integrated into a unified, reliable, and easy-to-operate technological ecosystem that ensures high performance, flexibility, and long-term durability.
This project elevated LMTA’s technological capabilities to the standards of modern European theatres and provided students with access to professional-grade equipment they will encounter throughout their future creative careers.

Education

We periodically organize training sessions in the fields of lighting and audio system management. These are designed for technical bar employees of cultural institutions and event service companies, as well as freelance sound and lighting engineers, and event engineering major students at Vilnius Tech University.

Attendees can expect practical, relevant seminars, with leading practitioners in a range of specialisms lending their experience and knowledge of current technologies. Contact us for details of upcoming sessions.

Maintenance

Even the most up-to-date installation requires periodic servicing and software updates to ensure that the system and equipment continue to operate flawlessly.

We know that our clients and their inhouse technical teams may not always have the time or the expertise to handle these tasks, which is why Sonus also offers a comprehensive equipment maintenance service.

Integration

Successful integration is fundamental to what we do. Raising the technological capabilities of cultural institutions in turn fosters artistic creativity and audience satisfaction.

Our integration team is made up of constructive, energetic professionals with many years of experience between them when it comes to system installations, tuning and user training. We are more than happy to provide reviews of our integration services from many previous clients.

Sales

We work with many of the world’s leading brands in the fields of audio, architectural and stage lighting, video, stage mechanization and audience seating. Building on that wealth of knowledge and experience, we can advise you on the most innovative system if you represent a rent company or help you put together the system that is most appropriate for your space if you are in charge of a venue.

Where the entertainment space is reconstructed rather than created afresh we usually begin by conducting an audit of the existing technologies in situ. Through this process we can then assess what can potentially be built on and what should be updated, and how to best optimise the current set-up.

Design

We put a great deal of time, effort and thought into the design process of every project we take on. Not only because we always have one eye on the end result, but also because it’s during the design process that so many great new ideas are born.

Using innovative design platforms such as BIM and other 3D modelling programs we create unique layouts and entertainment spaces that are compatible with interior design, engineering and structural systems.

Key to any successful design is understanding and discussing the needs and concerns of our clients, as well as staying abreast of current best industry practices, and taking into account the changing expectations of contemporary audiences.

Our ultimate aim is to harness the latest technologies and the capabilities of our expert technicians to help artists take their work to the next level.

The structural and architectural solutions of the hall did not allow the use of traditional methods of hanging lighting fixtures therefore for the placement of lighting fixtures specially designed lighting bridges were designed and produced reflecting the arched beams of the roof structure. Such a structurally complex solution allowed for the proper and accurate placement of lighting devices, concealed electrical and signal lines which blended into the interior of the building in a subtle way.
